Created by dog lovers, guided by veterinary experience.
K9 Puptides was born from a simple question: what if dogs had access to a more advanced kind of daily support?
For nearly 20 years, Dr. Matt Cooper has practiced veterinary medicine and cared for dogs through every stage of life — from playful puppies to working dogs to aging companions who need a little more help getting around.
As both a veterinarian and lifelong dog owner, Dr. Cooper has seen how much traditional care can do. He has also seen the moments where the usual tools — medication, nutrition, and standard supplementation — do not always feel like enough.
That gap became personal.
Over the years, Dr. Cooper developed a deep love for German Shepherds: a breed known for its loyalty, intelligence, and athleticism, and unfortunately, its tendency toward mobility challenges as it ages. Watching dogs begin to slow down, lose strength, or struggle with the activities they once loved made one thing clear — pet owners deserved better options for supporting long-term comfort, mobility, and quality of life.
Around the same time, peptide science was becoming more widely discussed in human wellness. As people began exploring advanced bioactive support for recovery, resilience, and healthy aging, Dr. Cooper began asking a bigger question: why should this kind of innovation stop with humans?
Together with his close friend Daniel Ehrlich, an animal lover and dog owner, Dr. Cooper began developing the idea that would become K9 Puptides: a modern canine wellness brand built around targeted, vet-guided bioactive formulas designed to support dogs as they move, recover, and age.
The mission was never to create another generic supplement. It was to build something more thoughtful. Something cleaner. Something grounded in real science, practical experience, and a deep respect for the bond we share with our dogs.
Dr. Cooper’s own German Shepherd, Blaze, helped make that mission even more personal. Like many large-breed dogs, Blaze began showing signs of age-related mobility changes. While conventional support helped, Dr. Cooper wanted to explore a more targeted approach to supporting Blaze’s comfort, strength, and day-to-day movement.
That experience reinforced the belief behind K9 Puptides: dogs deserve support that evolves with them.
Today, K9 Puptides exists to help dogs feel more comfortable, stay more active, and enjoy more good years with the people who love them. Because they give us everything. They deserve care built for the whole life ahead.
